As I woke up today a bit more tired than normal, I closed my eyes thinking about the day I had ahead. Immediately, all I could keep repetitively praying is today – like every day Lord – I need your strength. Give me the strength and endurance to walk through this very day.
Then I sat down to write to you and instead of creating the normal narrative with tips/tricks learned from my own experiences, I grew heavily burdened for you.
It became very clear to me that today, I just needed to remind you that you are not alone.
It is another Monday; a start of a new week and I know that as mothers we are all waking up – scheduling our week in our heads coupled with the never ending ‘to do’ list and figuring out the balance of ourselves and the beautiful children we call ours. As we wake up this morning, some of us are renewed, energized and ready to take the week full force, while others are just making it, rolling out of bed, ignoring everyone in sight until coffee is in hand and digested properly.
No matter what end of the spectrum you are on today, it is important to remember you are not alone because you want to make it through this week thriving. To thrive in motherhood and in this life, you need a strength that is not yours that will lead you through those moments where you are lacking patience and it turns and gives you a heart of understanding. You need that extra love when you feel stretched beyond your capacity and endurance in those moments when you wish your name was not ‘mama’ because you have heard it over hundred times in the last five minutes. You need to know there is a place you can rest and trust me, mama, you are not alone.
I want to open this blog up for interaction. I want you to know I am here for you. I want to pray with you and walk with you. Please reach out to me directly and let me know how I can be praying for you. Share your story with me:
I want to leave you with a time to sit and reflect on the words of the song below. Close your eyes, and just give yourself a moment to breathe today. Be reminded – He’s got you, always.
Know that your soul can rest in his embrace – for you are his and he is yours.
From your restless mama, finding her rest and strength in Him alone –
