Travel | How I Found my love for adventure

It was early in the morning and no one was around me. I felt the wind brush my face and heard the steady pace of my stride hitting the ground underneath my feet.
It was just me, my breath and pure serenity.

I felt free. I felt connected to myself. I felt alive.

It was late at night and I rolled out my mat. The room was dimly lit by a kerosene lantern in the corner and I began to slowly breathe in and out. It was a time for reflection and thanksgiving. With every breath in, I took in the moments of that day and with every breath out, I reminisced on how I got to that exact moment in time.

It was just a simple dinner and I stared at him intently. I knew in that moment I was meant to be in front of this man, I felt it in my heart. He was interesting, new and spontaneous. He had a sense of wonder about him and I was in love.

It was the coldest I have ever been in my life, but I did it. I looked across the mountain top and I had made it. It took many hours and my muscles were paining, but I was victorious! I will never forget the feeling of satisfaction that shot through my body.

Wanderlust | the love for travel.

I can not describe to you the moment I knew I had fallen in love with adventuring all over the world, but I can sit with you over a cup of coffee and share stories.
In those moments,
I felt free.
I felt at peace.
I felt adrenaline shoot through my body. or
I simply felt content.

My love story with travel is not made up of one moment in time, but it is compiled memories that have allowed me to fall in love over and over again.

In the coming months, I will be sharing with you specific journeys that left me crying, laughing or never wanting to leave, but I also want to share this journey with you.
Remember, this is a community where we get to come together and inspire one another. I am sure you can totally relate to me on this one. One of my favorite parts of traveling is meeting complete strangers and by the end of the day, having a new friend.

Let’s be friends.

I would love to have coffee with you and hear your stories.
Until then, tell me more about yourself!
